Where to Snowmobile in Jackson Hole

When you rent a snowmobile in Jackson, WY, the entire valley opens up for exploration. Some of the most popular trails and destinations include:

Granite Hot Springs

Looking for a snowmobile adventure with a reward at the end? Granite Hot Springs is the perfect destination. Located south of Jackson off Highway 89, the hot springs sit at the end of Granite Creek Road in a concrete pool naturally fed by spring runoff. In winter, snowmobiling is the only motorized way to access the pool, making the 10-mile ride into the Granite Creek area even more special. Don’t miss Granite Creek Falls, just below the pool—an ideal stop for photos. Rent your sleds from us, pack a lunch, and we’ll set you up for a full day of adventure.

How to get there: Head south on US-189/191. At the Hoback traffic circle, take the 2nd exit to continue on US-191 S, then turn left onto Forest Rd 30500/Granite Creek Rd.

Togwotee Pass / Continental Divide

Togwotee Pass transforms into a snowmobiler’s paradise each winter, offering more than 600 miles of groomed trails, deep powder bowls, and stunning Teton views. With nearby parking areas for trailers, it’s one of the premier snowmobiling hubs in the country.

For those seeking vast terrain, the Northern Continental Divide trail system delivers nearly 600 miles of groomed riding. This expansive area includes Togwotee Pass, the Upper Green River, and the Gros Ventre, offering limitless options for snowmobilers of all skill levels.

How to get there: Head north on US-189, turn left onto US-191/N Cache St, and continue for 39 miles. Parking lots are located on both sides of the highway near Togwotee Mountain Lodge.

Gros Ventre

Known for the historic 1925 landslide and its wildlife-rich habitat, the Gros Ventre area is a critical winter game area, so no off trail snowmobile riding is permitted.  Start your adventure at Slide Lake and follow scenic trails through the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Keep your eyes open—you may spot elk, moose, or bighorn sheep along the way.

How to get there: Head north on US-189, turn left onto US-191/N Cache St, then take the 1st exit at the traffic circle onto Gros Ventre Rd. Follow Lower Gros Ventre Rd before turning right onto Gros Ventre Rd. Parking is limited—please avoid private property.

Brooks Lake Lodge

Nestled within the trails of Togwotee Pass, historic Brooks Lake Lodge makes for the perfect snowmobiling day. Creating lifelong memories and experiences is what Brooks Lake Lodge is known for by locals.  Enjoy the vast off trail and trail riding around the lodge before warming up inside the lodge and having a hearty lunch before you get back out on the snow for the remainder of the day. It’s a family-friendly destination that combines adventure with a touch of Jackson Hole history. Recommended to make reservations for lunch.

How to get there: Head north on US-189, turn left onto US-191/N Cache St, take the 2nd exit at the traffic circle to stay on US-191, and continue for 56 miles.

Not sure where to go? Our staff can recommend routes based on your experience level, the latest snow conditions, and how adventurous you want to get.
